Penny has been a member of the Family Law Sections of the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar association since 1989.

She serves on the mediation panel for the Center for Conflict Resolution and also volunteers her time to assist low-income clients at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law.
